Queer life in Lithuania

The gay and lesbian movement started in middle 90's .They have an organisation called LGL (Lithuanian Gay League). Lesbians have their organisation as well. Both movements are closly cooperating with AIDS Center, making common projects for HIV/AIDS and STD's prevention. It is a pity, but they are not very active.

where you can find all information about gay and lesbian organisations their activities and contacts, gay club (actually there is only one gaybar in Vilnius) and meeting places, personal ads, some gay poetry, links to other sites etc.

Lithuanian Socialdemocratic Youth Union - no coming outs and it seems to be a big problem, although there are some discussions about gay and lesbian rights and the possibility establishing some gay and lesbian movement within the organisation.
